Main character name: Victoria Winters Guild: Golemizer Protection Counciil (GPC) City: Harvest Moon Are you the mayor?: yes
Where are you from? I’m from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
How long have you played Golemizer? I joined August 6th, 2009. I classify myself as “semi newbie,” whatever that means.
How did you learned about Golemizer? I first heard of this game from skyrates. The game was down the month of August because it was being redone, and I had nothing better to do, so I was browsing the forums. There happened to be one of those whiny “Oh-no-skyrates-is-down-what-now?” topics, and I was scanning through the lists. Golemizer happened to be the only MMORPG game that didn’t need to be downloaded on said list.
How many hours per week do you spend in Golemizer? It all varies, really. I tend to gravitate towards the game no matter what I do, so I usually end up with 5-6 hours a day under my belt, though it varies a lot depending on homework and whatever else I have to do. So anywhere from 35 to 42 hours a week, though much of the time I’m doing homework as well as playing.
As a gamer, how would you describe yourself? I would describe myself as friendly and helpful. I’m a procrastinator as well, especially when it comes to fixing up the zones in my city that I’ve already half completed.
Which other games do you play or have you played? I’m playing skyrates still, but that takes up about five minutes of my day. I’ve played runescape, maplestory, nostale, neopets, zOMG (Don’t play it), gaiaonline... I don’t even remember them all anymore. I have tried a lot of the MMORPGs that are not downloadable, and back before my administrator privileges on the computer were revoked, I played a few that were downloadable as well. One could say I have no life.
How would you describe Golemizer to someone that never heard of it before? Golemizer is the most awesome game in the world. At first, you’re put off by the graphics, but the gameplay is amazing. Most players are incredibly nice, and it’s a small community, so you basically know everyone on the game. The only problem is that the game’s too addicting at times!
What does a typical Golemizer day consist of for you? My day changes all the time, depending on what I’m in the mood for. Most of the time, I go on and spend my time points, harass people about living in my city (Harvest Moon, by the way), and modify said city. Occasionally, I bounty hunt for money or go around slaughtering golems. Throughout all this, I chat, perhaps way too much, and try to help people who need it.
What do you enjoy most about Golemizer? I enjoy the player interaction. It’s an incredibly tight community, and making friends, or enemies, isn’t that hard. You’d find that most people would rather be your friend than enemy, however. I also enjoy the freedom Golemizer gives players, and how much control we get over the game. What was your favorite game update? Why? I can’t say I’ve been around for too many major updates, so I can’t exactly comment. However, my favorite update that I’ve been around for would probably be the train update. It makes traveling from place to place so much faster and links many places together. Even cities far away from anywhere important can be traveled to easily. Anything you'd like to see introduced in the game in the future? I would like to see the ability to rotate items so they aren’t facing front all the time. That way, we could tuck chairs under tables so that they are pointing different ways rather than straight. It would make decorating much better.
Any funny or memorable moment in Golemizer you want to share? There’s so many I just can’t name one! One of my favorite moments was meeting Duane, though. We became fast friends, which was a rather nice surprise for me. Other moments would probably be when Edward Winters and I first started and I started attacking him with a clockwork dog just to see if I could… It was announced ridiculously on global, and I was told to stop killing Edward. After they were done with that they started “wtf”ing as to why there were two Winters. ShaneD helping me when I was an ultra newbie stuck in my mind as one of the nicer moments as well (visit The Museum of Rare Items! It’s amazing.).
