September 1st, 2009 -- Machine 22, an independent game developer, announced the activities planned for the first anniversary of the web MMORPG Golemizer (http://www.golemizer.com). Golemizer is a free web MMORPG where players are set in the role of mad scientists creating strange creatures in a steampunk universe.

From September 1st to September 14th, players are invited to search for Dr. Altus' clockwork assistants in the hope they will reveal them some secrets. The first player to find each clockwork assistant will receive a gift code they can redeem to obtain rare items, time points, gold or even Altus Coins to spend in the the Altus Store for exclusive items.

Clockwork assistants will be added progressively to the world and will be found in many different locations like dungeons, islands, mines and possibly even in player cities!

Players will also receive by in-game mail notices of time-limited discounted items available through the Altus Store. Selected items will vary until September 14th so players should check regularly their mails to make sure to not miss an opportunity.

Finally, players are invited to participate in the first "Design a golem" competition. By posting on the forums a description of an unique golem they might see their creation added to the game and receive a price of 1,000 Altus Coins to spend for exclusive items in the Altus Store. Players must submit their design before September 12th and the winner will be announced on September 14th, the same day Golemizer was released in 2008.
